Options quotes are no longer working.

Our Data Providers have not updated their systems to make use of the new Options format. You can read more about the changes here:

http://www.securitiesindustry.com/issues/19_100/-23708-1.html
http://biz.yahoo.com/opt/symbol.html

This is an unfortunate inconvenience for everyone, but it is out of our control at this point. We hope that the Data Providers will remedy the issue in a timely manner.

iTunes says that StockWatch version is 4.05, but my version on the device says 4.042. Which is right?

Technically, both are correct. The newest version of StockWatch is 4.042, which is what it was called in iTunes. It was a mistake with Apple... sorry for the confusion.

There seems to be a problem changing the Acquired Date of a Lot. The App crashes, and/or, displays 'null' for the date.

In versions < 4.041: This a known bug that is affecting users of non-US date formats (specifically the format dd/mm/yyyy) when they edit/add a date to a Lot. Upgrading to 4.041, a FREE update from iTunes, should remedy the problem.

I searched for a symbol, but it says 'No Results Found":

Sometimes, when you search for a symbol it will not be found in the App's database. The App uses Yahoo Finance (USA) formatted symbols. If the symbol you input is a valid Yahoo Finance symbol, you can manually add it by tapping "Add Anyway". Once you manually add the symbol, it will be added to your WatchList/Portfolio and the most recent quote will be retrieved.

How do I manually refresh the quotes?

This feature is only operational when you have Auto-Fetch turned off. To refresh the quotes, simply tap on the title in the top blue navigation bar. (ie. WatchList, Portfolios, "My portfolio Name", etc.)

How do I track Commodities?

You just need to know the Yahoo formatted symbol.
Example: Symbol on Yahoo Finance for Soybeans January 2010 Contract is SF10.CBT
The symbol search might not return any matches for futures symbols. If that happens you can manually add the symbol by tapping the row that says 'Add Anyway?' and the symbol will be added to your WatchList/Portfolio and the most recent quote will be retrieved.
